Whereas, Miss Pageland Erika Bryant and Teen Miss Pageland Meghan Black are serving as goodwill ambassadors for the Town of Pageland; and
Whereas, the queens have appeared at numerous civic and community events in Pageland and in other towns throughout the state; and
Whereas, the Pageland Town Council wishes to express their appreciation for the services performed by our queens;
Now, Therefore, I, Brian Hough, Mayor of the Town of Pageland, do hereby proclaim Friday, June 24, 2011 to be Queens Recognition Day and encourage all Pageland residents to join with council in saluting our queens and to wish them well in their upcoming pageant appearances.
